It seems like I read somewhere that the Arab governments promised the arabs living in Israel the land if they left before the Jews were pushed into the sea. Were your folks some of those people that left, with the false hope that they might acquire the land after the war? If I also remember right there were some arabs that stayed and fought along side the jews. Were your relatives in this group?
