Currently there's the Apple equivalent for Palm contacts, and calendars, but nothing equivalent to memos.

The recent thread about the lack of a Scrapbook in OS X got me thinking that the closest thing to a memo-syncable application included in OS X is Stickies.

So how about it? Anybody think this is viable option? Something that could be added? (easily?)

Better than the Scrapbook, Apple should bundle a new Notepad....

I use Notes, a lovely freeware app which keeps the simplicity of the old Notepad, but expands on the features (and loses the old bugs..)

But Apple could develop something even better with this concept. In the Notepad you could have multiple books and share these books over .Mac and/or Rendezvou. You could optionally encrypt/lock private books (a bit like you can't do with calendars in iCal!)

You'd be able to create a 'To Do' -type note and any To Do notes would form your To Do list in iCal (To Do notes in locked books having a little lock symbol by them)

You could view your book on .Mac and down the line, perhaps, they could allow you to edit it too. A nice Java applet with rich text capabilities (like Lotus iNotes) would be worth developing for Mail and Notepad.

OK, I've gone into dream-mode a bit here.

I just want a simple Stickies conduit added to iSync. Or a separate one from a third party, I don't care. I just want to sync my stickies!!! Heck, I'll pay for the shareware!!!
