What Age Would You Be FOREVER...And Why?

26

Physical peak, lots of socializing. Responsible. Lots of money.

One age? Forever? Really?

I don't wanna live forever and I don't wanna be "unchanging."
Being in debt and celebrating a lower deficit is like being on a diet and celebrating the fact you gained two pounds this week instead of five.

29 was good. Old enough to know better, but still too young to care.

According to studies, people are happiest in their 60s and 70s.

I liked my mid 30s a lot. My early 40s were good too-probably better, really. I was actually in my best shape ever at about 42 or 43 (being required to work out regularly-with your coworkers too-kind of ensures that you at least maintain a decent fitness level).

But seriously, if I could stay one age physically, I'd stay at about 40 (except I'd want the knees I had at 20, of course).

I'd rather shot myself than being stuck at a certain age.

It will "grow old" really fast.

Groundhog Day, that's all I'm saying.

If I had to choose, I'd choose a fit, healthy 40. Young enough not to look like a retiree, old enough to look experienced. My wife always complains that men, as they age, usually look more distinguished, while women just wrinkle.

There's something really lovely about that.

Life as a 3 year old with dutiful parents really would be a dream!

27. Old enough to be making enough money to play with, had met my husband, it was a good time.

but this question doesn't mean going back in time, or reliving a time, but being that time forever. It would feel like chronic hysteresis.

Would everyone else be in that time as well? or just you?

I'd say 30, but honestly, I'm 45 and feel as good as ever. What's all this crap about growing old?

I think I would choose somewhere between 35-40. I'm not nearly there yet, but I think I would choose that. I see some people talking about how they enjoyed their life at that age, but I'm not thinking time machine wise, I'm just thinking developmentally and physically.

To me 35-40 is old enough to be taken seriously and carry some experience and expertise, yet still young enough to be able to do a lot of the things I enjoy.

Whatever age I am right.... now.

No, ... NOW!

Err.... NOW!

It doesn't matter to me what age I am. Contentment has been achieved.

"that said"... I do wish I had the healing ability I had in my teens. Cuts and sprains lasted hours it seemed. Now, I get a paper cut and I have to nurse it for a few days.

I like being 24 so far. I think I'll be happiest as an old man though, don't ask me why.

I'd have to say 8 or 10. Tons of friends, school was easy and nothing to do but video games and bike riding.

Physically, I'd like to remain my current age; 23.

Mentally, I haven't reached a point that I'd feel comfortable with for a long period of time. I still don't have any clue what it is I'm supposed to be doing with my existence and I've got all the usual insecurities of youth to go along with it.

So, I guess the best answer to this question would be an age that's a balance between physical and mental strengths. And I don't know what that age is yet.

Pretty happy with where I am now at 26. Wise, physically fit, great career and 18 year old chicks still dig me.

What's the catch?

This sort of thing usually involves drinking blood or some such nonsense and if there's one thing I hate it's goddamn vampires.

My wife just turned 40, and I have to say, there's nothing wrong (and a lot right) with a little maturity.

Everyone says things like "Youth is wasted on the young", "If I only knew then what I know now", and similar sayings, implying that when you are young, you have a lot of energy and strength, but not much knowledge and wisdom about life, and as you get older, you gain this knowledge at the same time that you have less energy and strength to make use of it all.

If you could go back to a younger age, but retain your current knowledge, would it be worthwhile? Or would you find that all your wisdom does is temper the enthusiasm and magic of youth, so you end up spending all your youthful energy on being a bitter and cynical old fart?

I loved my life at 18. However, now that I have kids, I would never want life to freeze. I love watching them grow up. Sucks that I'll have to die eventually. Hate that.

That's some good thought
