I have the 2nd generation Mac Air and find the battery life in Win7/bootcamp disappointing. If i get 2 hours I'm a happy camper. Drain and charge seems to have no effect. Anyone else have any experience with this combo care to commect?

Thanks!

I'd double-check your Win 7 power settings. Allow HHD to spin down, reduce/turn off backlit keyboard (Bootcamp Windows seems to have a nasty habit of turning these on by default), and maybe some other stuff.

Thanks Cold Warrior - will do. It's a SDD and I am aware of some issues around using sleep mode as well. Time to tweak!

I get decent battery life in OS X so at least I know the battery (etc) is fine.

Remember that, though the drivers for battery management in Boot Camp are written by Apple, they have to go through Windows' framework. You may get as good, better, or somewhat worse battery life in Windows. But it should be longer than 2 hours no matter what. Don't be disappointed if you get only 75% of the life in Windows that you do in OS X, but don't be surprised if it's even a little better than in OS X. I wouldn't bet on any of these potential outcomes, but I will be interested in hearing what you come up with.
