I hope this is directed by Stephen Colbert. This is too hilarious to be true.

I see nothing wrong with the movie. Should be shown in schools.
Bush Tax Cuts == Job Killer
June 2001: 132,047,000 employed
June 2003: 129,839,000 employed
2.21 million jobs were LOST after 2 years of Bush Tax Cuts.

I don't see anything wrong with it, either. It looks like Jerry Bruckheimer wrote an ABC After-School special, that's all. I suppose a few people like that kind of thing....

Edit (After reading the wiki link): a very few people, apparently....

It seems no different than anything Lifetime produces.

Although perhaps the idea of an Asian immigrant, a black guy, and a paraplegic overcoming their difficulties to actually do something with their lives without relying on the government might be a little threatening to people.

Just another example of sappy film-making designed to inspire through vicarious identification with another person's triumph over adversity. Yeah, this could easily be a made-for-tv movie on Lifetime. The overt jingoism and patriotic "America is the best, f*** yeah!" flag-waving is off-putting but not surprising considering who paid for the movie to be made.
One should never stop striving for clarity of thought and precision of expression.
I would prefer my humanity sullied with the tarnish of science rather than the gloss of religion.

So, the high school that the Asian is in is a private one, the black guy is going to a private university and the papaplegic navy seal is a soldier of fortune.

Great link, Doofy!

This movie seems to be somewhere between Walt Disney motion pictures shown at Christmas time (oh, I hate those!) and a cheap commercial for some political party. You can do it no matter what! You are all great! Like snowflakes
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

That's pretty cheesy…partly because it stands in stark contrast to the "America sucks" theme we normally see out of Hollywood.
Being in debt and celebrating a lower deficit is like being on a diet and celebrating the fact you gained two pounds this week instead of five.

What would you do
If you were asked to give up your dreams for freedom?
What would you do
If asked to make the ultimate sacrifice?

Would you think about all them people
Who gave up everything they had?
Would you think about all them War Vets
And would you start to feel bad?

Freedom isn't free
It costs folks like you and me
And if we don't all chip in
We'll never pay that bill
Freedom isn't free
No, there's a hefty in' fee.
And if you don't throw in your buck 'o five
Who will?

What would you do
If someone told you to fight for freedom?
Would you answer the call
Or run away like a little ?
'Cause the only reason that you're here
Is 'cause folks died for you in the past
So maybe now it's your turn
To die kicking some ass

Freedom isn't free
It costs folks like you and me
And if we don't all chip in
We'll never pay that bill
Freedom isn't free
Now there's a hefty f*ckin' fee
And if you don't throw in your buck 'o five
Who will?

You don't throw in your buck 'o five. Who will?
Oooh buck 'o five
Freedom costs a buck 'o five

"One ticket to Washington, please. I have a date with destiny."
