hello all

i’m starting to build my iWeb website but don’t need to publish it for some time yet.

now i’ve started building, just as apple has stopped hosting, i’ll want to publish it through my ISP.

my questions are:

their operating system is Linux (Apache)

their scripting technologies are PHP and ASP

their databases are MSSQL (2005) and MySQL (5.0.83)

this is all gibberish to me. i simply need to know if my iWeb (3.0.4) built website will work with them before i go ahead and spend weeks on it

thank you

iWeb doesn't use PHP, ASP or SQL.

All you need is some webspace that you can upload the iWeb website to.
You're going to use FTP, SFTP or WebDav to connect to your hosted and upload the page.

If you use FTP, you can upload straight from iWeb. For WebDav or SFTP, you'd need to publish the site locally, and then use an app like Cyberduck to upload it to your site.
