I am running 10.3.7 client with LilSnitch on.
Every once in a while getting a notice from LilSnitch that application NMBD is trying to connect to ... (misc computer).
I looked up nmbd and that has something to do with file sharing (Samba), which I have on so that a WinXP box which I control can copy and use selected documents.
LilSnitch tells me the computer which it is trying to connect to and over which port.
There are the last 2 denied attempts:
*.pooles.rima-tde.net (81.36.201.16)
*abo.wanadoo.fr (81.251.130.221)
Why is NMBD trying to connect over the internet?
Why is it random?
Why would file sharing want to send info to these computers?
