I know this has been this way since Unreal 2004 was released for the Mac, but I never found out why. Why are the vehicle engine sounds messed up in the Mac version? There is one constant engine noise where in the PC version, the engine noise corresponds with the vehicle throttle.

Never played the PC version so I never noticed. Besides, I'm too busy killing the other team to notice.
Check IMG, maybe they know.

Just how the Mac version of the engine is developed I guess. I'd assume they just have one wav (or ogg) file for the engine noise then just change the frequency based on the current throttle. Maybe they were somehow unable to do this effectively on the Mac.
