I've just upgraded the forums to vBulletin 3.5.4 (from 3.5.3). This is primarily a bugfix release with a few minor new features added, notably SkypeWeb integration (shows online Skype status).

Please let us know if you see anything wonky (other than the usual).

I love the word Wonkey.

Wonkey: the definition between functional and disfunctional

The moderator menus are all messed up. The thread tools is moved elsewhere, and the moderation menu is, again, restored to its default order.

Ick.

tooki, the thread tools have moved to the right to make room for the previously mentioned 'view first unread' option.
and what order are you referring to? let me know what order is preferred.

That change is heinously impractical. Existing menus should NOT be moving around to make room for new ones. It's the new one that should take the new position. (Basic UI consistency 101.)

The menu items in the moderation menu are, by default, in a retarded order. Gorgonzola has, repeatedly, put them into a better order, with "delete" being the default, rather than "merge" which we never use. The order we had was
1. Delete
2. Move
3. Undelete
4...[all the rest, which we never use]

personally i like the NEW stuff on the left better. it's more practical to have a more useful tool on the left than the right IMHO. i "spot" it easier than if it were on the right.

i mean, i would think having view first unread post and respond button on differant sides would be IMO rather dumb. thread stuff on one side, posting stuff on another. makes sense to me. change never comes easily tooki, but this change seems like a good one.

i've reverted the moderating menu back to what it was (Delete, Undelete, Merge, Move, etc..). and yes, that is what it was. i remember what the diff reported.

at some point that 'unread posts' option was where it is now (as far as i can recall). and having our thread control and 'search this forum' options taking up the entire header like it did was pretty terrible looking.

Our header area and "First unread post" link used to look like this, January 2005:

After comparing the two, I like the current arrangement better. The jump link is at the top of the content, not separated by the navigation box.
