... is available now for people with the original 2K4.

It's an 85MB .exe file, but Mac users fear not: it's an archive that Stuffit will gladly expand into a folder full of folders. If you've installed any 3rd party goodies, you'll know where the contents should go.

Hi,

Well that is exactly my question: where do the contents of the Editor's Choice bonus need to go?

I have it successfully unzipped into a folder on my desktop, but for the life of me I cannot figure out where to put the goodies.

The following Inside Mac Games article has instructions on how to install the files. They worked for me.

Or, if you want to keep your add-ons separated from the Application package, you can create Help, Maps, Textures, etc. folders in your user:Library:Application Support:Unreal Tournament 2004 folder.

Since I went the early adopter route with the .exe file and manual installation to my App Support folder, I don't know whether or not the just released Mac installer of the ECE pack will just take care of putting everything where it needs to go. I assume it'd put the files in the application package.

Ok, it might be just me but I can't get the new vehicles to work. I select the maps that say they have new vehicles but when I get in the game, they're the old ones. I used the installer from Ryan Gordon's web site, does that have anything to do with it?

Try downloading the windows .exe and expanding with Stuffit Expander, then follow the instructions in the article ranga points to.

Mine is working great now.

One more question: It could be my kvm switch, but when I am moving forward, I often come to a stop even though I am still depressing the forward key. I have to release it and depress it again to start moving once more. Very frustrating.

I installed the Bonus Pack contents into my UT2004 v3323 app folder. Everything works fine.

However, the spinning Manta in FrostBite has not been fixed yet.

After some testing, my opinion is that the SPAMMER is the coolest new vehicle. Do your best to hit their inboxes.

You Have AirMail!

Urgent mortgage offers no doubt.

Has anyone else noticed that Kragoth has returned from UT99, after a sex change?

I believe the Spinning Manta Syndrome is unrelated to the ECE pack - it logically should have something to do with the general UT2K4 codebase. And yes, it's NOT fixed in the latest update.

In fact, it's happening for me on lots of maps, not just Frostbite. I was having trouble with this on ONS-Adara just recently.

Very annoying.

I think the Cicada is freakin' awesome. Though the artillery is fun to mess with too. I really dig the distant booms of artillery in the background. I wish I had internet at home so I could play it online. I'd love to see a Cicada with both positions being operated. That would be a pretty powerful force to deal with on the ground.
