I am having connecting to the internet via Verizon Wireless (USB720 wireless modem). I am trying to figure out if my connection speed is normal and how to figure if I am on a 3G EVDO network or a slower network.

SpeedTest.net shows my upload speeds to be in the high 300 to low 400kbps range. Occasionally it will test in the 1000kbps range.

I am in a Chicago Suburb (called Mundelein, IL) and I feel that the internet is somewhat slow from here.

If anyone can tell me how to figure out what type of network I am on I would appreciate it.

Peace,

O
B unce!

Yes, you're on the fastest network available (EV-DO Rev A). Rev 1 maxes out at about 150kbps upload; Rev A can theoretically do 1.8Mbps upload, but in reality it's more like 1Mbps max.
