I am having an issue with External Hard drives. I have 3 External hard drives (one connected to an AirPort Extreme for TimeMachine backup, one is a media drive, and one is a duplicate of the Media drive in case of crash.

All drives are Western Digital MyBooks, with Firewire, USB and ESATA.

I am facing a situation where each drive has a power brick, and aside from looking sloppy, these are taking up all my outlets.

I am wondering if there is a power adapter available that takes up one outlet, but can power 3 drives, or if anyone has any other ideas as to how I can go about cleaning up the clutter.

Thank you,

O
B unce!

There's no easy way to daisy chain or run them in parallel (plus you'd probably draw too much current from one PS). If they're made by the same manufacturer, you can look for a power supply thing like you mentioned but I'd bet nobody makes one as it's too rare and odd.

Just get another power strip.

Buy a multibay enclosure to connect to your Mac. The you only need 2 outlets, one for the multibay enclosure and one for the APE's drive.
