I recently sold a MBP and included my SL disc. Sadly, I didn't decide to install XP until after that. I am hoping to not spend the $30 for the disc unless my new MBP has a critical meltdown. Also, I do not trust public torrent sites.

Can someone snag the driver files for XP and post them or PM me with a link? It would be much appreciated.

You can at least download the 2.1 version of the drivers:

Apple - Downloads - Application Updates - Boot Camp Update 2.1 for Windows XP

Since it's only XP, it should work fine.

Once you have working drivers, you can get XP to look for "better" drivers based on the ones you're running. That could mean looking for updates through Apple or through the specific maker of a particular piece of hardware. Either way, getting running is the first step.

I tried the 2.1 drivers and the exe refuses to launch. I'll try again, maybe I had a bad download before.

Oh, that happened to me once and again, no idea why. 'Bad news' is I solved it with the 10.5 disc that came with my Unibody MacBook Pro which let me install it just fine on the Mac Pro.
