Okay brand new M1 Air, apple USB dongle purchased in the store, and a card reader w go pro micro SDs I've been using for years on my mac pro. I plug it in and.... nothing. Like most of the time.
I cannot figure out what makes it work sometimes and not other times. There's no pattern. There is an LED on the card reader and when that lights up it reads the cards, otherwise it doesn't. I have no problem on my mac pro.
Ideas? Should I plug the dongle in first then the USB reader? Without the ability to reliabily import footage this was a giant waste of time. Been trying right now for 10 minutes. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
