Yes, it's very fashionable to use white racial slurs right now, esp on social media platforms, and since those platforms don't treat it with the same urgency as they do with minority slurs, it feels like they condone it. If all of society was drunk, it would be like Twitter (really ALL large social media platforms with anonymity are like that). You get to find out what people think with the veneer of politeness stripped away. That has value, but at the same time you can't take it very seriously most of the time.
