Where do you have Adobe Flash Player stored?

Is it supposed to go in the Library folder "Internet Plug-Ins?"

Are you talking about the flash player app, or the plugins?
I store adobe flash player in the trash. I've never found a use for the app, and I'm not sure why it exists.
The plugin should be in /Library/Internet Plug-Ins, yes.

I thought a flash player WAS a plug-in.
I downloaded it because ImageShack asked me to download the latest Adobe flash player. But even though I have it downloaded, they're still asking me to download it.

It sounds like you're having more issues with Safari rather than issues with Flash.
Maybe you could restart your computer and see if Safari starts behaving properly...

What is the exact file You're looking at that you've downloaded. Dumb question: have you actually *installed* it?
Do you have a link to the page that's causing the problem?

very witty - I keep the flash player there as well. Good place for it.
As for the topic: you're just supposed to run the installer application that is provided at Adobe's darkened lair (adobe.com) - so if you are actually moving something by hand into the /Library/Internet Plug-Ins then you're already off track.

You are correct - I don't have the same problem while using Firefox. I need to figure out what it is that I have set in Safari that ImageShack doesn't like.

I had Adobe Flash installed, but I deleted it a few minutes ago.
On my other computer, an old PowerBook with 10.3 loaded on, the only way to get Adobe Flash to work is by manually moving that file into Internet Plug-Ins.
I appreciate everybody's help - you guys are fantastic.
