Yeah, I noticed that. It wouldn't be very useful if you could launch the app and use the instant search faster than the dashboard widget can search

I am not entirely sure what the widget does... it is taking way too long for it to be querying the local database, so is it querying Amazon.com? Then why are only 6 items appearing if they now have international support? When you click on an icon, what happens? I guess we will know on the 29th.

Ditto. The movie they have took about 10 seconds to show the results of the query. Looks great. But really slow in the performance department. I hope that is not indicative of how 3rd party Spotlight integration will work.

I can't imagine that's how Spotlight integration would work. The iTunes plugin for Quicksilver is instantaneous, and you don't hear Apple touting Quicksilver as a core part of the new OS.

I was saying that if a small third-party app can manage to do instant file searches, Spotlight (which Apple says is a core part of the OS) should definitely be able to.
