Very sad. Seemed like a great Dad, and a good guy.

Thank you Earl for all your service to this country. May your son Tiger carry on your spirit in all that he does. Thoughts and prayers to the Woods family.

So I was looking for the SNL clip of Tracy Morgan playing Earl Woods (circa 2001), and while unsuccessful - I found this:

Show was pitiful and disgusting. No comedy at all, no references to any thing he ever did. He just tried to ellicit a reaction to his likes of anal porno and extremely gross references to vulgarity with long bouts of noises eminating from his likes of anal sex and worse. We and some others left after 1/2 the show, it was a total waste of money and talent. What a loser, he will be lucky to fetch $3 a ticket if he continues at all. Don't go see him, your memory of the characters he portraid on SNL are a better memory than what he has going in his show...which is zero! I hope he reads this and wakes up
There's 2 other posters that trash him in that same thread. [/OT]

Let me get this straight.

You were looking for a clip of Tracy Morgan doing an impression of Tiger's dad on an episode of SNL and while at Morgan's site found some 'fan' letters that trash Tracy Morgan?

And you thought it was close enough to the subject matter of the thread (as long as you used [OT][/OT] limiters) so as to mention Morgan's detractors in here?

I question your judgment in this regard.

It's hard to find a more beautiful example of what a great father and son relationship was and can be. I'll never be the Dad that Earl was and I was never the son that Tiger was. But instead of being jealous or envious I celebrate their success and the happiness they knew and hold that up as something that every man should be and have.

He was a great guy and Tiger lives as a tribute to his father by just simply being the greatest person Tiger Woods can be. Whether or not he ever wins another tournament.
