The problem is... it's still looks very inconsistent. The GUI of Windows has always had a "design by committee" feel.
I'm in no way saying Apple is perfect (with the ever changing brushed metal, metallic, etc. etc.).

yeah right.... since the beggining Apple copy other great non-public-hide ideas and implemented them to their OS and so on to the public, like the GUI that is was taken from Xerox, and the Mouse that was a joystick in Japan, but never, and I say NEVER copy nothing from "Mediocresoft" in fact, MS truly copy everything from Mac with very bad results, but it is Apple the first to push the envelope and MS just try to make something similar, Apple steals from great minds, and MS steals Apple.
