I uninstalled Google Chrome mistakingly, but now restored it using Time Machine but I seem to have lost all my bookmarks and passwords. Is it possible to get them back?

You need to restore from:
/Users/<your user name>/Library/Application Support/Google/Chrome

In Mac HD/Library/Google there is only this:
There is no Google folder in the Application Support folder. I have checked all current content to date and all my Time Machine archive, and only the same shows. I can only guess that when I uninstalled it using AppCleaner all the respective files were removed but I would have thought something would have remained on archive. Unfortunately I cannot see anything.
Edit:
However I have opened Google prefs and checked the "Import bookmarks and passwords from Safari" and it worked so I have them all back ….. I think. Thanks anyway.

You went to the wrong Library folder. I said to go to the one in your user folder (which is hidden by default in Lion; Google to find out how to unhide), not the one at the top level of your hard drive.

Yes thanks I have since learnt that it is hidden in Lion and so in future In finder need to click on Go and then press the alt key to reveal the library.
