Here are the specs: OWC Mercury Extreme G4 1.25Ghz clocked to 1.3Ghz, 896Mb RAM, Pioneer DVR-107D, 10Gb + 80Gb, 128Mb Radeon 9000 Pro
Never had any problems with it.

I think it's time for a new Mac and I will not need this one anymore.

I'd say between $250-$300. I sold one recently with slightly better specs for around $350. People just have no reason to pay for an upgraded G4 now that Mini's are so cheap, as are Intel macs.

$250-$300 probably. 1.3Ghz isn't that much of an upgrade nowadays, or 896mb of RAM.

well, considering that sawtooths topped out at 500mhz, 1.3ghz is a rather large jump in cpu power........ (2.6x)

And that Rad9k helps some too.....

but I agree that 896 is low on ram, since those machines can take 2GB

hell, why not just put it on ebay and/or craigslist for a week and see what happens
Personally I find it hilarious that you have the hots for my gramma. Especially seeins how she is 3x your age, and makes your Brittney-Spears-wannabe 30-something wife look like a rag doll who went thru WWIII with a burning stick of dynamite up her a** :)

eBay: Apple PowerMac G4 1.2Ghz 640MB RAM/60GB HD/10.4 Fast! (item 200037000913 end time Oct-21-06 09:17:47 PDT)
eBay: Apple 1.0GHz Power Mac G4 - 1GB SDRAM - Mac OS 10.3 (item 260039973981 end time Oct-16-06 13:59:55 PDT)

Neither of those is as good as yours, and they went for $200 and $250.

eBay: POWERMAC G4 1.25 GHz, 100 GIG HD, SUPERDRIVE (item 190041056392 end time Oct-20-06 14:57:36 PDT)

$362 american, comparable specs.

eBay: APPLE POWER MAC G4 DUAL 1.6 GHz + Lots of Software (item 130035409589 end time Oct-16-06 07:38:30 PDT)

$450, better than yours.

I think that completed eBay listings are a good plae to look for computer valuation. Also, overclocking decreases the resale value. There overclocking you did was minor, though.

I sold a setup very similar to that not too long ago.

400Mhz (upgraded to 1ghz) a 160 (hardware limited to 132gb) drive 1gb ram, and the same radeon card you have... DL dvd burner

I got $300 for it... or was it $400? I donno, probably $300

At those prices I'd just keep it and use it as a media centre. Put front row on that and onto the tv it goes!

I sold my Power Mac G4 (dual 1.25 GHz Mirror Drive) for $1000 on eBay not too long ago. It was in mint condition and had extra RAM and HD space. I am putting this toward a new Mac Pro...

I've been using Craigslist - Bay Area ( the original ) to get ballpark prices for older Mac gear. I think eBay is too schmoozy towards the Sellers at the expense of buyers...unless of course you are the Seller.... I'd pay no more than$300 for it. Some dual processor 1 Ghz + aren't even selling for $ 400 these days.

Unless you are really strapped for cash flow, keep the Sawtooth...it's nicely fitted out. Still very useful , especially if you swapped out that puny 10 Gb drive for an identical 80Gb and RAID them together.
