iTunes 6.0.2, OS 10.4.4.

I've noticed recently that iTunes will randomly update the "Date Modified" field on some of my songs as they are played. I haven't been able to glean any rhyme or reason why some files are affected and not others. This is kind of annoying because it messes with some of my backup scripts.

Anyone else seen this?

Bump. No one?

I've noticed that when it does happen, it seems to only happen to files that I encoded using the iTunes-LAME plugin. And once iTunes updates the date modified field for a file once, it doesn't seem to do it again...so far at least.
