There's a dojo on my way to work. They have a new advertising campaign:

Aha. This thread gives me the opportunity to re-post my possibly favorite horrible commercial ever (easily eclipsing the "The Hammer" attorney and Billy Fuccillo auto mall commercials of my youth).

When I first saw this on TV I was speechless and could not move for several minutes:

Probably not safe for work.

Is it bad that the store in the commercial is on MLK Ave?

I watch Super Bowl commercials, but that's about it.

Still one of my favorites.

I do remember a sign over one of the local Asian massage parlors, before they were shut down.

That was a truly horrible commercial, even when classed among all the other horrible local business commercials (as a class, a truly wretched bunch). When I was growing up in the Detroit area, an appliance dealer named Ollie Fretter insisted on making really, really bad commercials and newspaper ads, despite having a better than most ad agency. The results were, well, really horrible.

At least Rex Kwon Do is supposed to be funny. Check out Gary Daniels' threads from about 1:13 into this clip.

I have plenty of more important things to do, if only I could bring myself to do them....
