Need some advice. I bought a 2.4GHz Unibody before the upgrade. Who knew?

I am a photographer, mainly sports and news. So my main programs are photoshop and an ingest and caption program, plus ftp software. But nothing too heavy in terms of processing power. I also maxed the machine out to 4GB of RAM. The screens are amazing.

I am in a position of being able to buy a 2.8 GHz model. Mainly for the extra ooomph and more gamut in the screen. But would not be able to upgrade the RAM as of right now.

If I don't buy new I can add a SSD drive to my current laptop and that is about all.

I am having problems selling the current laptop, so I am not sure if I am letting numbers persuade me into a purchase I don't really need. But the mind can be funny like that sometimes.

So I am looking for good sound advice from people.

Thanks

Joe
