After seeing the "What do you use your Macs for?" thread I was wondering what everyone's primary Mac is.
A lot of people have more than one so let's say the Mac that you use more than the others.
Since there are a lot of Macs I made the poll into the the five types of Macs. In your post you can go into more detail about said Mac.

I'll go first.
My only Mac is a 1.67ghz G4 17" PowerBook, that I bought in November 2005.

MacBookPro.

But I dislike it intensely because it's way too fragile and bendable for travel.

My primary computer is my PowerMac G5 2.0 (PowerMac7,2). It's the very first 2.0 GHz G5. Bought it in either late '03 or early '04 with my Student ADC hardware discount.

I've also got a MacBook CD 2.0, that I got last summer when I moved to Boston because my PowerMac was still in storage/en route (I used door-2-door) and I needed a computer.

Primary Mac:
DP 1.25Ghz PowerMac G4 (FW800) + 17-inch Apple Studio Display LCD, which I bought in early 2003.

It serves me well even thought I have a 12-inch iBook G4 1.33Ghz and DP 2Ghz PowerMac G5 sit in the basement.

Will definitely get an Intel Mac in 2008.

Mac mini...

It kind of cracks me up because my peripherals are all bigger than the computer itself:
Dell 24" monitor
Imation Disc Stakka
Guardian Maximus external storage

For anything mobile I use my iPhone.

Primary computer would be my 12 inch PowerBook 1ghz, 768MB, 120GB.

Since this is the computer I take when I travel, it makes sense to keep my email and iTunes library on it.

I'll keep using this till it either breaks beyond repair or Apple finally comes out with another small "Pro" notebook.

I have a Rev A PowerMac G5 2.0Ghz. I think it is one of the best Macs that Apple has made, as it is still mightly fast for your everyday tasks even though it is 4 years old. Plus i was a huge step up from the G4. But thats enough of me praising my PM.

Macbook pro.

My only computer and unlike the other poster its not too fragile. I've taken this and before I had the MBP a Powerbook on many a flight and had 0 problems. Great computer well made, not too heavy.

Only one now is an 800Mhz iMac G4, 17" FP. Still works great, although it may not run Leopard.

Secondary: iMac G3 450 MHz. Basically a file/iTunes server these days.

I use two Macs as my primary Macs. My 533 MHz Power Mac G4 is used for basically everything except video editing and rendering. For that I use my 1.8 GHz iMac G5. I am hoping to get a MacBook Pro soon however and make that my primary Mac hooked up to my LCD.

Really? I've been carrying my PowerBook around everywhere for years and it's stood up to everything I threw at it (literally).

Primary Mac is my only Mac: MBP 2.16. Travel with it all the time. Sturdy and powerful. When home, I keep it hooked up to a 20" widescreen LCD and external keyboard/mouse. Works great & runs smoothly in that config as well.

We have three - or is it four - Macs around here that we use. I must admit that my favorite is my G4 PowerBook. It goes with me now when I travel and it's come
in very handy in that respect - a great way to carry along your photo album and music ... and listen to favorite radio stations from half way around the world!

I've been using a 15" PowerBook 1.67 GHz 1.25 GB of RAM for two years now. The screen is going out, the battery lasts for about an hour, and I'm looking to possibly buy a MacBook.

We use a Mac Pro for video editing at work, so I have little use for a MacBook Pro.

Pretty similar over here. I have a DP1.0 MDD + 2x19" LCDs and my 14" 1.2ghz ibook which comes to class with me.
AT&T iPhone 5S and 6; 13" MBP; MDD G4.

2.2 Ghz refurbed Macbook Pro I got in late September.

Love it, although it's developing what seems to be a friction mark on one side of the keyboard surface.

1 Ghz. eMac.

I have an Intel Mac Mini setup as a "home theater" PC and an old PowerMac 8600 that is soon to be on its way out, I expect. I used to have an iBook, but I recently parted with it due to some issues it developed, and now I miss the portability very much, even if it was just to another room most of the time.

I plan to replace my eMac with a MacBook at some point and get my hand on an XO laptop next month if possible for the rugged portability, long battery life, and manual charging possibilities. I might go for a Mac mini instead of a MacBook if I can't afford the latter, though.

This is the first time I haven't bought a pro model Mac. Of course this is the first time I've bought a Mac since I retired in 2001. I still have a G4/Dual 450 that works fine.

The Mini is fine. It runs PS 7 well enough for me.

At home, PowerBook G4 1.67 GHz and Mac Pro quad-core. (And iMac for TV/Family media)

The PowerBook gets more hours because it somehow feels more comfortable on the couch. The Mac Pro is for heavy lifting (big files, big screen) and PC gaming. But somehow, especially now with Leopard, I don't feel like I'm maxing out this old PB, even when doing (lores) Photoshopping and such. I'd love a MacBook Pro, but can't really justify it, so I'm kinda happy to wait for an interesting new revision. Even Google Earth now flies on this thing!

The question's asked as if everyone had a replete battery of Macs from which to select their "primary".

I have one computer. A MacBook Pro. (The expensive one).

I so win with that one.
