I've decided to start a PB 17" poll to try and create a little more of a one-stop shop for understanding when people can expect their orders based on what other people have posted. Hopefully this poll will help some people out in their anxious waiting -- I'm sure it will help me out!

I hope this is useful to some people!

Hmm, because there is no way to link any of the polling results to know if a user is in US, ordered online, waiting w/o discount maybe people can augment their poll vote with a short reply telling us what you voted.

That way we can see the results and actually put the replies together to get some more granular information that the poll can't provide.

Hope this isn't going to annoy too many people

There really is not a way to tell when we will recieve them based on who has recieved theirs so far. Apple is randomly shipping them out. There are people who ordered in March that have recieved them and there are people like me who ordered on the day of the keynote and have an OOB date of 4/29! Apple representitives label the ship dates as "an internet hoax", claiming they are sent out in order from date purchased. Obviously this is not true. I'd say we compile evidence and present it to Apple.

Don't have it quite yet, but:

Arrived at FedEx Ramp/PORTLAND ME 04/02/2003 03:09

Today.

Whhoooooo. I think I'm becoming nauseous. I may have to leave work early today. Might be SARS. Must go home. Don't want to take a chance of infecting anybody.

I know. I didn't expect it to be necessarily accurate but maybe some way to make out some sort of method to the madness called Apple

It's here! I am actually typing on it now! As soon as the battery finishes charging, I will go to school and show off my beautiful new tool.
