So here, I got my macbook (the one with the super drive if that means anything) on Febuary 1st. The past two weeks I have had many new problems. 1st a red light came on in my headphone jack and yes my internal speakers no longer work or be recognized by my computer. I use the computer alot for live audio stuff and thats when i noticed. 2nd there is a smudge on my sceen about the size of a thumb print. I use proper screen cleaner and it will not go away. The smudge (when looked at from the right angle) looks really bright or wet. I wish i could discribe it to you. 3rd A peice of my palm rest broke off.http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s...macrackdet.jpg This is someone else computer but it is exactly the same.

It has been about 85 days seince the purchase. What should i do? Should I go to the Apple store ask for a new one (which is what im leaning towards doing if possible). Or should I go to my local authorized apple reseller/repair store. I do not have apple care. And 90 days of my warrenty is approaching. What is the 90days, for just technical assistance not hardware repairs right? Anyways im quite upset with my laptop at the moment. I just want to get everything fixed. Even with all these problems i love Apple. Im sure it is just my laptop.

If there's an Apple Store nearby, make an appointment with the Genius Bar and have them look at it. If not just call AppleCare and ship it in.
They'll fix your current Mac, not give you a new one.

well my 90 days is almost up does that mean i cant call them are what? Like will they take my mac after the 90 is up. I am so confused what the difference is between the 90 days and the 1 year is. And would it be ok to take it to my local apple reseller/repair store instead of an actually apple store?

1. If your 90days phone support is "almost up", why are you here instead of just "calling" them which take the same amount of time?
2. You computer have 1 yr warrenty, you can have your problem fix during that 1 yr period.
3. Apple store will fix your apple computer under warrenty, Appler reseller/repair will tell you to send it to Apple unless you want to pay them service fee out of your pocket.

4. They will get you a new/refubish one if they "can not" fix the problem, otherwise they will just fix whatever is wrong with it.
Do not settle for the world in shades of grey
