Today Kensington, a mobile accessories company, announced that its Proximo app-enabled accessory, originally for iOS, is now compatible with Android. The Proximo system is designed to assist users in finding one's phone, keys or valuables easily, and ensures that misplacement doesn't occur. The Bluetooth 4.0 fob attaches to a user's keys, while an attachable tag can be used with a phone or other valuable, allowing users to then receive alerts when moving out of range from the other component. Proximo's app dashboard can track up to five items, including a customizable activity proximity meter. Proximo's app version 1.6 now supports Samsung Galaxy series Android phones, as well as iPhone. Proximo's starting package is priced at $60, with additional tags and fobs priced at $25 and $40 respectively.

Also released by Kensington today is its new Portafolio Soft Case and Virtuoso Stylus collections for iPad mini, available in a variety of colors. Featuring a soft screen cover that can double as a stand, the Portafolio includes a hand strap and business card slot. The Virtuoso Stylus and Pen for Tablets is available in over a dozen colors, and allows for soft control with tablets.
