How do I edit the "Year" field after I have checked it in view options?

The cable company in my area has many streaming music stations where they put year next to the info of the songs and I would like to update (continually) my library with this info. The normal ways of editing a field do not work.

Any ideas?

Command+I on the song file(s) and you can change it there in the "Info" tab.
