Back on topic, I don't find that cat smell bad. Cat themselves smell really good (or neutral); I can put my face in their fur any time. I don't have any cats and I have a very good nose, and in homes that the owners keep the litter clean, I cannot usually tell there's a cat living there. Most of the times when there's an odour upon entering, it's because they don't empty the litter regularly and often the cat is so disgusted by the smell that it will do its business elsewhere (some clever cats only enter half of their body in it, leaving the head and the front legs outside!). Or they are living in a small appartement and the litter is in the way or close to us. In that case, there's no surprise it stinks: there's sh!t and urine in there! The whole idea that cats are stinky is just asinine. The only time I have ever been in a home where I can smell cat has been in homes that would still smell without the cats. Dirty people have dirty pets.

The litter box can smell, sure, cat excretions are horrid. The cats themselves, no.

If you can smell cats then maybe you still have some dog funk lingering in your nostrils.

If someone does a favor for you, you don't lose the right to voice your opinion, even if it's something the other person may not agree with or want to hear. Unless you're in grade school perhaps. Bear in mind who started this little bicker fest, because it's a matter of context as well.
