We just got our first real snow of the year last night here in Colorado Springs. Last week we had some snow up on the Front Range, just a couple thousand feet higher in elevation than I am. We've got 3 inches so far, and it's supposed to snow all day. Anyone else around the country (or world, for that matter) had snow yet? I haven't really seen any in the news or anything.

Peace,
Mitchell

Here in San Antonio it got down to about 62˚ overnight. We're expecting the high 80s today... So no, we haven't had any snow yet.

When and if we DO get some snow, it should be front page news all over. And it'll shut the city down. 1/10th of an inch of snow, a tiny bit of ice, anything like that and the city will shut down. Considering how very, very badly most people here drive in light rain, I think shutting things down is a good idea!

Although the average for this time of year is mid-60s, tomorrow is looking like 80, so no snow to report... I'm not hoping for any until al least after christmas.

It's funny you started this thread. I just talked to a good friend last night who had gotten home from an elk hunt and he was telling me what happened to him. One of the guys out hunting with him had just shot an elk, so he asked my friend to help him track it. He had just gotten into camp and had taken most of his cold weather gear off, but he didn't think he'd be out long and the weather was quite nice right then. So he just left with a light jacket and a backpack with nothing but knives and other tools. The way things ended up, when they found the elk the snow started falling and he said that by the time the got back to the tent with the carcass that they had gotten about 8" of snow and that they both had mild hypothermia.

It was a mistake he said he'd never make again.

I thought global warming stopped snow like, 7 years ago.

yep, indian summer, it will be in the 80's here today. And dry. The water in the reservoir is so low you can see bottom.

I've moved from the hardy coldness of Edmonton to poor, wet, rainy Nova Scotia. Snow is not expected for some time. When it comes, a lack of vertical height won't make it useful.

No. High today is 90. We never get snow, and we rarely ever get an overnight freeze. Might see a bit of frost every once in a while.

Wow! I thought Québec was a cold place Here in Montréal the temperature was 25°C yesterday (77 °F) and last year we didn't see snow before Christmas I think. However, in a town 6 hours north of where I am, it snowed two weeks ago.

Currently at 4°C. No snow yet, thankfully, though it is getting colder, and windier.

We got our first snowfall here a couple weeks ago, it hasn't stuck yet where I live. A little further up the mountains it's falling and sticking. Gorgeous.
