EETimes.com - Design team execs left Apple to form startup

I hope that the prediction in the thread title is not a necessary conclusion to the facts in the linked article

I hope they've reengineered their stuff because I'm sure Apple owns all of the IP from their PA Semi days.

I'm dubious. Apple undoubtedly owns everything that they've done and probably stuff that they want to do as well.

There was another rumor somewhere that the A4 wasn't designed by the PA Semi group but by Apple's existing chip team.

I thought that it was a combination of both.

I doubt the loss of PA Semi's sales manager will greatly affect the future of the A4. You've read a much more dramatic situation into that story than it actually describes.

I can't find the article on that page, and the site won't let me load the desktop version (despite being given the option).

If it's really the sales manager leaving, well that's one job that's been made utterly redundant - it's not like Apple will be marketing their stuff to anybody else.

The specific titles given for people who have left Apple are "a director" and "vice president responsible for sales and business development." It's probable there are a couple of others, but nothing in the article even remotely suggests a mass walkout like the thread subject does. It's just saying that some former PA Semi people are going to start a server hardware company.
