Hi All...

I need a couple of os x hacks for a friend of mine (and myself if they work ; ).

I need to:

1) change the background image of the os x menubar.
2a) Remove the finder icon from the dock
OR
2b) Change the finder Icon in the dock

Can anyone offer any help?

Thanks.

Too change the menubar you have to get a #pxm editor, like Themepark (search "themepark" at versiontracker.) and in there, one of the numbers is the background to the menu bar which can be easily changed.

They also need to add user adjustable fonts for the menu bar on top, the current ones are WAY too big.

As for the second, it probably isn't possible to remove the icon per se, but it can be changed. And now that I think about it, it might be possible to remove the icon with form Info.plist hacking (the same way you'd do it for any other app) but I can't be certain.

Why are these so important? In particular, why the menubar but nothing else?
You are in Soviet Russia. It is dark. Grue is likely to be eaten by YOU!

I suppose it's not just the menubar, it's just what I was asked about by a friend of mine.. He didn't ask about the windows so I didn't ask about them either.. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

Thanks,

Another good PXM editor is sprocket. It was the 2nd pxm editor and (at least for me) is still the most reliable.
