I'am having a little problem with my iBook SE, connecting at 56k.

Almost everytime I get on the web the connection speed is around 2400, I can't seem to get my connection to 56k, has anyone else had this problem?

I read in the local paper (tech page) that some of the newer iMacs, iBooks and G4s have a problem with the internal modem connecting at 56k. I checked apples website for any updates and tried everything I know, no dice.

I also have an iMac that I use to get on the web: same account, same ISP, same dial-up-number, both using remote access.

Anyone have or heard of this problem and found a way to fix it I would be extremly greatful.
