I'm flying to Tucson in a few days.... and I have to rent a car. That said, I'm sick of 'renting a rental car'. I would like to rent something preferably from the 1960s or 1970s. I don't even care if it's in SUPER good shape, I'd take a 'daily driven' older car also. I just want something different, with a bit more 'zest'. Also would consider Chrysler Crossfire, Miata, SRT4, SVT focus, mazdaspeed3, mini cooper, 240z, 300zx, 3000gt, conquest TSI, anything really. etc. Anybody know a place I can do this in Tucson?

Try a Google search for car rentals there and then call them to see what they have available.

Gotham Dream Cars - Ultra Exotic & Luxury Car Rental in New York City & Miami / South Florida if you have a spare couple thousand dollars. Although they're only in New York and Miami, maybe they know of someone reputable in the Tucson area

Too much. I don't want to rent an exotic, or even a sports car really.. just something different and more fun. Anything from the 60s/70s would be great, really.

I would rent:

Shelby GTH
Chrysler Crossfire
Mini Cooper
Charger R/T
Nissan 350Z
Prius
Hyundai Tiburon
Neon SRT4
Mazdaspeed 3
Mazdaspeed 6
Miata
RX8

ANYTHING REMOTELY FUN!

The problem is I can't find **** on anybody's websites. Anybody know how to search VIA CARS, not prices? I don't care what company it is, and honestly, the price isn't a huge issue, I just want to pick a specific car. I don't ****ing want "Toyota Solara or similar".

This is PISSING me off.

At Giddy Up Car Rental, if you reserve a Mustang,
you're going to need a saddle and cowboy boots,
because you'll be riding a horse. You can reserve
specific car models only at Hertz.

Argh. This is obnoxious. The Phoenix area hertz has some Shelby GTHs, 350z, Crossfires, and even stuff like Vettes and 911s, but they won't let me drop them off in Tucson. How ****ing annoying. I think I'll go there at the airport, get ALMOST done renting the car, then tell them "No thanks, I just felt like wasting your time, I'm spending my money at another company PURELY because they won't let me rent a cool car and drop it off in Tucson"

Jerks. This sucks ass. I posted an ad on craigslist in desperation, I can only hope I can rent someone's personal car instead. I don't want a boring car out there. Please, pleas please somebody respond with something cool.

a call. to look for a cool car to rent. isn't that your question/what you are looking for?

again, i said it isn't AAA, as in...don't think you are calling AAA. it just happens to be the name of the rental company.
