I never thought much of him as an actor, but I always respected the work he did with disabled kids after his accident. If it's true, rest in peace superman.

It's now showing up on several more mainstream news sites. Apparently he went into cardiac arrest the day before, and fell into a coma. He was only 52.

That's a shame. He really did a lot for the cause of people with spinal injuries.
And it was nice to see him on Smallville, passing the torch, so to speak. I remember the scene when he first came on, it was the first time that the show played the John Williams Superman theme. That was cool.
RIP.

Life is just funny sometimes. Two days ago I sat down and watched Superman for the first time in at least 5 years. Yesterday I find this video on Cake's website. Today, well...

I'm sitting here wishing I could come up with something eloquent. I can't. All I do know is that this is a real tragedy and the world will be a little worse off come tomorrow morning.

Goodbye, Superman.

yep, because people purposely go out of their way to have sex to get an abortion for the stem cell research. they don't just use the stuff from abortions that they were going to throw away, they'd never do that.

'Cause if we had to rely on idiots like you, we'd still be in the dark ages.

Truly a shame. I still remember as a kid being so excited to go see the newest Superman movie. As much as he'll be remembered for that, his role as Superman pales in significance compared to the good he did for disabled individuals.

Rest in peace Mr. Reeve. You helped us see the 'Superman' in all of us and the best side of humanity.

I'm sorry to hear that, too. I also did not like him much as an actor but I respected the hell out of him when it came to dealing with his handicap.

i don't feel "sorry" for him

he lived a dream life for the most part of his life. beautiful estate, beautiful wife, beautiful kids, money up the wazoo and fame.

he didn't get injured saving children from earthquakes in Panama. he injured himself doing equestrian maneuvers as a hobby.

i'm sure he was a decent guy, but I only saw him make full potential of his celebrity only after he was injured and tried to do something to fix his condition. congratulations on all the help/research you worked for all these years. Rest in peace.

He is usually fine, but has less prestige to lose if he's wrong than the big news agencies.

My prayers go out to his family and friends. May he rest in peace. Now he can walk in freedom and without pain.
