The guys over on the Ars OpenForums are doing a moratorium on posting during WWDC to ease server load, and instead are going to chat and exchange info on IRC:

http://arstechnica.infopop.net/OpenT...1&m=6670943075

... since I don't know how to use IRC, how about we all have a public iChat? Might be less frustrating than having an overloaded messageboard. There have been a few times this week when I couldn't get through.

Whaddyathink?

(This is also about the rumored PPC 970 machines, but I figured I would post in this forum because I'm mostly interested in Panther right now.... until I get some cash, that is)

Be realistic, Cipher. Open an IRC client in front of someone who'd never used one and they wouldn't even know where to begin.

In case ya didn't know, bring your portable /w airport. Rendezvous iChat + room full of mac folks watching the keynote + net access if you can swing UW access (I can!)

I guess it will be a good day for my favorite MWSF/MacAddict t-shirt.....

An online stream by yourself vs the live feed with a room of like minded folks. Option 2 is much more fun.

I'm goin'.

Bummer. I have to be in lab from 1 until 5 on Monday. I'd skip but it's my last one of the term, so there is no chance for a make-up lab.

Have fun guys.
