BT Openworld. The 2 MB service is expensive though.

You should try Nildram.com

I use them as my ISP, and ADSLGuide's speed test show they are or close to being the fastest 512k DSL there is. Their 2mbit services are quite cheap too.

BT are appalling. Avoid at all costs.

check out:

They should have all the info you need...

I would highly recommend Bulldog - http://www.bulldogdsl.com/residential/index.asp

I am on their 2Mb down in the evenings and weekends and it is great (512Mb at all other times).

I used to be with ClaraNet then they imposed all sorts of draconian policies limiting what ports you can use etc etc. Lame.

For ADSL, look at PlusNet, Zen, and Eclipse.

If you're in a Telewest area, also look at blueyonder.

I agree with the Eclipse suggestions, I have ADSL with them for over a year and have had no complaints. I also know some of the team there and they are very proud to have been voted the fastest UK ADSL provider. Price wise they are very reasonable, cheaper than BT I think?

From my personal experience I have to agree with Angus_D...

I have tried loads of providers, but these days I use Zen, or Eclipse.

Both are good services and have great customer service...

(Never used Claranet though so I can't comment on them!!)

I'm on a 56k at the moment until next month when I move, but I will have no doubts about resigning up to either of the 2 above...

Peace,

Marc

I can't see any distinguishing features that would make Clara's service any good, and 98+VAT is over the odds for a 2Mbit service.

I personally use PlusNet because I get a free static IP, free web hosting, free domain hosting, yadda yadda, and it's cheap. I've only heard great things about Eclipse and Zen, too, and they're cheaper than ClaraNet...

So vinster, why should anyone choose Clara?

I am using blueyonder of Telewest.
I don't know its just me or them, I personally think its crap as the line is so unstable! I got disconnected almost 2-3 times every hour, sometimes even worst~ It's so annoying especially when you are playing games and you got disconnected~ It doesn't worth the money
Got a 12" Powerbook ^__^
