Now this is just word on the street but....

I made a post a while ago on a car site because I was looking to buy a used Alpine deck. Someone on the site asked if the deck had Ai-Net because they had an iPod planned. I was kinda wondering what the importance of Ai-Net would be if you had an iPod so I asked. This is what he said....

"Ai-Net is Alpine's Digital Bus technology, they use it for connecting CD, MP3, and DVD changers to their current-model headunits.

This summer, Alpine will be releasing an Ai-Net iPod interface, which will give you full control of the iPod via the deck's changer controls."

Has anyone heard about this? I'm sure anyone who owns an iPod and a car will be as excited about this as I am. The only downside is that to get the Ai-Net you'll have to spend about $550 CDN on a deck.
