Its a concept design that won an award, never been near Cupertino.

There has been rather a lot of noise about headless iMacs and a direct competitor for MS office... I'll put my money on the upgraded AppleWorks object (iWork?)... I'm pretty dubious re: NouveauCube...

It would be awesome if you could put a piece of paper through that already had something on it and scan it on the same device.

Let's see. My MacWorld Prediction.
Obvious one is a demo and release date for Tiger
predictions:
5 Gig iPod mini. They need to keep up with the competition
iSight 2
maybe new Appleworks
headless Mac
maybe speed bumps of machines
new iLife suite
if not Possible updates to iPhoto to work with iPod photo
iTunes 5 at the very least.
Well 2 more weeks and we shall see what goodies Apple pulls out of it's hat.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for an appearance of "iWork" (with Office compatibility) - can't even begin to tell you how often I wished I could finally get rid of MS Office. That crap-butt, bloated piece of dungware™ - any developer who creates text-editing software that allows users to make text blink and sparkle should be shot on the spot.
On that note - interesting that the developer of the shareware time-tracking/billing software " iWork" released a new version today ... it's now called "iBiz". I didn't feel like sifting through his site for info as to why he changed the name but an interesting tidbit nonetheless.

I agree all this stuff mentioned in this thread is coming out within a few months, but I don't think it's possible for Steve to announce all this in 90 minutes. These are some completely new products here which Steve would have to talk about for a long time (iPod micro, iMac mini, iWork). He couldn't just mention these and then go about the rest of the keynote.
Anyways, MWSF will be AWESOME and I think 2005 will be Apple's best year yet.

Hopefully revised PowerMac G5s wont be out soon. I've got to buy a new machine within the next couple weeks (most likely will be a DP2.5), and I don't want to miss out on new technology three days after I buy it

I suspect the headless imac may turn out to be a Home Server. Why? Maybe because the former Apple Senior Vice President who departed mid November 2004 was also the founder (2002) and Board Chairman of Mirra Inc. Mirra's Personal Server running linux is show casing at CES. Conflict of interest? What do you think?

The company who owned the trademark on 'iWork' transferred it to Apple in August of 2004. Today they relaunched iWork as 'iBiz'.
Looks pretty much like a confirmation.

come on now, every mac owner knows that's what happens when you wait that long to purchase the current revision.

Just because it is completely pointless and so sexy.
A media center would rock. Stripped down version of OS X... iPod dock.... yeah... that would be cool.

Congrats joltguy .
With the professional stuff being released quietly on the site today, it makes the way for MWSF to be for the iStuff.
iPod mini - 5Gb, better battery life as on 4G iPod, maybe new colours.
iPod flash & speakers.
iLife '05 - big updates on everything but iTunes, which might go to 4.8, not 5.
OS X 10.4 stuff - Safari 2, .mac Sync, new stuff
iWork - a collection of apps collected, like iLife. Keynote 2 is one of them.
iPizzabox - the headless eMac system, that might be a computer or might be a kind of home server set top box, only SJ knows.
iTunes mobile - for motorola phones.

I'm looking forward to seeing what's new with iLife, particularly Garageband. Hopefully, it's a bit more efficient in the CPU usage department.

You're joking, right?
Anyway, the Asteroid thing is supposed to be some device that's used to connect instruments to the computer. It'd have a few XLR jacks, as well as a few other audio jacks and would connect to the computer via Firewire, I believe. It's been a long time since I saw the report on it. I'd say there's a good chance it'll come out, but who knows?
