Synergy crashing in Panther

Crashes every 5-15 hours. Error is always:
Nov 19 19:10:29 powerbook /usr/libexec/crashreporterd: error reading response from crashdump. errno: 9
Nov 19 19:10:29 powerbook /usr/libexec/crashreporterd: crashdump[3091] exited due to signal 5

I don't think synergy is panther-compatible yet. Last file date I see on macupdate is 9/03. Many users report a problem with the "a" key not typing in panther with synergy

It is definitely not 10.3 compatible (darn it).

What version are you using? I'm using version 1.0a and I've had no problems under Panther.

of course i'm using 1.0a. I dunno why you're not having problems. Its consistently crashing like this on my 1ghz tibook.

Are your running any other menu extras?
I installed ShafeShifter from Unsanity and it corrupted the prefs of several of my menu extras. Deleting the pref files fixed the problem.
Try dragging the Synergy prefs to the desktop and then launch Synergy to see if it works.
Corrupt fonts can also cause problems for certain apps. But try trashing the prefs first.

It's working fine for me, as well. I second the suggestion to trash the preference file.

From the Synergy web site:
Version 1.0a is primarily a bugfix release for compatibility with Panther.

i'm running menumeters, snard, meteorologist or weatherpop. How do I trash the preferences file? Where is it?
