The other day I was unable to mount a second HD in my Quicksilver 867. It had been working fine, then nothing. Disk Utility is unable to help, returning back an error -9972 when I try to repair permissions. So, out comes Data Rescue X.

Data Rescue X has been running for 4 days now. I would have stopped it long ago, but it appears to be making VERRRRRRY slow progress. If I thought I would eventually get a positive result from all this, I would just leave it. But my patience is wearing thin. Has anyone heard of this application taking DAYS to do its thing? It is an 80GB WD drive with about 40GB of data on it. Thanks.
