I wonder if one can siphon off some hydrogen for fueling some other device.

Excellent product idea! They could use "Oh, the humanity" as a catch phrase.

Sure! Get a huge ol' block of ice and use the fire to melt it: water!

Anyways yeah that is very cool. Although I don't think I would have the luxury of owning one until this drought thing passes, or I move.

Its also possible to make fire out of ice--not sure where I heard this, but apparently some guys were in some very snowy, ice place and couldnt get a fire going. So they carved an extremely wide angle lens out of ice, focusing a whole lot of sunlight onto a tiny spot. Pretty cool stuff

Loki... hope you are kidding! Not that making a huge lense out of ice (that works) is easy... but even if it heated the ice, it would either melt or boil. If it was REALLY hot it would just do the above foster... and vaporize the ice. Perhaps there was a gas or campound in the area in the ice that fsared for a second... or maybe I'm stupid and thought you were serious? I dunno... link??
yep.

The lens merely collects the light and focuses it to a distant point, it will not become warm itself.
