Anyone who ran 10.2.x on their PB/iBook might recall this bug http://www.macosxhints.com/comment.p...+problem&pid=0 which was fixed around 10.2.8. I think it might be back in Tiger. Can everyone check sound balance and post back here the results and config? I think perhaps using the volume keys while under heavy load may trigger it, not 100% sure...

This happened to me today. But I had no sound at all, then when I checked the sound settings to se what was happening I noticed the balance was all the way to the left. I still had no sound though.

Had this problem once or twice under 10.2, and never again since.

I'm running 10.4.1, and God knows I've changed the volume on it under quite massive loads. No problem.

Balance tends to drift to the left, slowly.
