will that computer run tiger efficiently? Will I need more ram? Also is it a decent deal for the price? I have a coupon code which will knock the price down to 619.99.

Thanks in advance.

G3 900 256 ram (i'm sure i'll upgrade to 384 or more). I think it has the 16mb graphics card.

It will run Tiger pretty well. Make sure you get more RAM though. Even 384 is not that much for Tiger. Upgrade to 640 and it will be fine.

I'm running Tiger on my G3 500mhz iBook. I overclocked my iBook to 600Mhz 100mhz bus and it runs great. I can actually play high-bitrate divx files now, and it runs a lot better than Panther did. (Before the overclock, divx files were slideshows!).

I had that iBook once myself. It's a sweet machine, and has 32 MB VRAM with an ATI RADEON 7500. It ran panther really well, in day to day apps I don't see a huge difference to the Mac mini that I now own. Be sure to upgrade it to 640 MB RAM, anything less should not be subject to discussion.

And be sure to get the 12"...

Check to see that that model wasn't one of the ones with logic board problems.
