I live in Australia, and like many others, I would love to use iPhone now rather then wait until next year. I was thinking to get an iPhone on ebay, but we all know the iPhone is locked to AT&T, is there's anyway, that we could have it unlocked? What about a legal way to do that, I understand in Australia, if you buy a pre-paid phone of a certain phone company, you can pay something around $100 to get that phone unlocked, is that's an option with iPhone?
If I do buy an iPhone from the Ebay, does that meant my sim card just won't work at all and I am simply using a very expensive iPod with touch screen and internet capacity? Lastly, would the iPhone in Australia be covered under the normal warrenty, can you get the extend warrenty for iPhone?

I beleive you can use the iPhone on the 'go phone' prepay plan also. Contact AT&T i america and just ask them
