Was just checking my firewall settings and i noticed "QTKitServer" set to "allow incoming connections", i dont remember authorizing this app or even adding it to the list. whats the deal ? does anyone know ? I have recently installed the iPhone 3.1SDK and thats it.

Yup thats right. On Snow Leopard, in the 'Security' panel in System Preferences.

QTKitServer is the background process that runs the 32-bit QuickTime 7 for 64-bit applications. Similar to how 32-bit Flash runs in a separate process for 64-bit Safari.

Signed applications automatically get added to the Firewall. You don't have to authorize that.
