Would you step into a time machine destined for the Elizabethan era IF you knew that when you arrived, you would be surrounded by Elizabethan-era women who wanted to have sex with you?

You could be the hugh heffner of the 16th century, however your women would certainly look and smell a lot different than they do today, and you would not have electricity or modern medicine.

If I could bring a couple crates of condoms and a crate of soap for those women, sure. As long as I'm still myself, and am allowed to reinvent things I like without being burnt at the stake, no problem. And if there are any lost shakespearian plays you'd like me to save, I can cache a few folios in a box somewhere.

I'd rather not.. and I fear that if I went back in time, I'd not be able to "reinvent" ANY thing that is important to us today.

I guess my drawings would be strange to them tho.

Maybe if I knew I could have one Elizabethan woman to marry and love and all that stuff... but odds are I'll find a nice girl in my own time.

Could I bring a Bic, some soap and Joop perfume? Then yes.

They all had lice and didn't bathe that often.
Actually most cut the hair and wore wigs because of it.

You wanna wake sure you're up on your shots. Oh, and bring soap. And a razor.

Now, if you'd be going to what is now Turkey, Iraq and the Iran, I'd be willing to bet that you'd be having a far more pleasant time there.

I rather think I'd just pop down to the local costume hire store and grab some Elizabethan stuff for a modern day chick to wear. Saves getting lice.

Plus there's syphiliis and gonorrea. Although they are much milder than AIDS they are nasty nevertheless.
Anyway ... hairy arm pits ??? worst teeth and breath smell, no electricity or any other technology for that matter, plus it's the Vitorian era, closest thing to their women's dress and manners code would be the Taliban Regime's, wich sucks.

The anwser would definitely be NO.

Lice. Plague. "The Pox." Bathing requires nakedness, and nice people just don't do that, at least not very often. The fact that wood smoke covers a number of olfactory sins is just not enough to lure me into going back there. I'd be iffy about going back 50 years...

Chances are, you know someone who knew people who grew up in the Victorian age. So it isn't like the Victorian era is ancient history (yet).

My great grand mother, who died at 103 a few years back, was born in the Victorian Era-the 1890s.

I think "reduces your chances of getting lice" is a more accurate expression.

Apparently lice like people with clear hair, so I prefer the hang around people with lice.

Its just personal preference.

Dude, while you're on your way stop by last week and buy a lotto ticket with the last draw's numbers on it for me.

I got an email from Tesco that says because I have enough clubcard points, I will be given a time machine that can only go one-way to the 1500s, where I will be greeted by 25 virgins. Sadly I cannot pick up a lotto ticket.

If you do it, bring a gun and a few thousand rounds. The rest will be much easier once you display your dominance, which will probably be within a few days of arrival (once the envious men get wind of all the ladies jumping on you). When that first daggar-dude comes at you, BANG!

If you have time to prepare, you may want to study the ins and outs of your particular gun (so that you can maintain and repair it), as well as seeing if you can learn how to make your own rounds from materials that will likely be available at your destination.

A Kevlar/bulletproof vest will come in handy, too. It's extremely lightweight compared to the insanely heavy armor others will be wearing.

I don't really know how kevlar performs against arrows and spears.

The vests have metal/ceramic plates over the vital areas. I'm sure he can take an arrow to the shoulder while changing clips.

No thank you, don't want to go that far back in time.
