I need a bolt, M12x1.0 at 30mm (+/-) length. The 1mm thread pitch is termed "ultra fine" pitch. I can find 1.25mm pitch fasteners all over the place. Of course.
So does anyone have an idea where (in the States) one could find a hex-head M12x1.0 25-35mm long bolt without impacting a mortgage payment?

I don't know how much time I wasted looking at eBay and I didn't find that... I'll check it out.
Now that the thread is in the right place...

I'd be OK with this. We started to transition in the 70s, then it stalled out and even reversed. We ought to just get it over with. Despite some dialog in Star Trek shows, by the time we send out starships, the bridge crews won't be reporting anything in feet or miles.

Spooky, ain't it?
I'm currently deciding between the Komatsu track bolt and an Audi (and compatible) banjo bolt. That ultra fine thread is a real pain to find anywhere...

At this point I would have drilled and re-tapped to something more reasonable.

The irony is rich here. Since after all I'm looking for a steel fastener....
Oh wait! I forgot something... Irony is the opposite of wrinkly.
There, I feel better now.
