AIEEE!!! I was looking for this thread! Time to get it out of its box in the basement Yesterday, I redecorated my apartment.

This is how it used to look:

As you can see, it was rather darkish. The windows are to the right, the huge shelf on top of the desk always felt like... well, kinda oppressive and made me feel uncomfortable.

This is how it looks now:

I took the huge thing apart and now have a desk and a shelf. Moved the shelf to the window so it's a more friendly work environment. Given that I work from home, this really matters to me. I need to feel good when I work, I need a friendy and brightish environment.

iCol: You totally forgot the most important part: The fuel for the user, namely the two bottles of wine
Btw, I don't think I'd be able to work in an environment like that, it'd be too cramped for my taste.

Yeah, it is a little crampt. My obsesssion with coating my walls with pictures and posters doesnt help matters greatly either. It's only a small attic room in the house I share with 3 other people, though I am moving out in a few weeks into a bigger place where I will have a room about 3x the size, and there I will be able to spread things out a bit and make some kind of proper office space!

Can't wait.

Oh, ok then:

The wine...

1 x half drunk bottle of Penfolds Thomas Hyland South Australian Chardonnay (2002)
1 x bottle of Baron de Barbon Rioja, Cosecha, Spain (2002) - nice bottle that!

Nice, very nice man. Since you seem to like wine, have you tried the 2002 South-Californian Ernest & Julio Gallo?

The Columbard or the Chenin Blanc? Both are nice, but I prefer the Columbard.

I've got a laptop with 2 keyboards too. I use one hand on each keyboard

I think he's talking about that metal thing visible under the powerbook... under that beige box starman.. looks like a g5

I admit, you have a nice PC I would have figured you to have an antec case or some '31337' sorta machine.. not a classy box like that.
